Job summary

Upham Inns is recruiting for a Food & Drinks Runner (Busser) to join Harper’s Steakhouse, a premium American Steakhouse brand within our Southern England pubs. You will remove used dishes, clean and reset tables, restock essentials, and assist the serving team to ensure smooth service.

We offer flexible full or part-time hours with an hourly rate up to £12.21 depending on age, plus a share of tips. You’ll join a friendly team in a growing group and enjoy early benefits and training from day one.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced hospitality environments preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction.
• Reliability and a positive attitude towards work.

Responsibilities

• Remove used plates, cups, and utensils from bar, restaurant and garden area to kitchen for washing.
• Wipe down tables and restock cutlery, sauces and napkins to keep areas ready for guests.
• Assist serving team by delivering food and drinks to tables as requested.
• Ensure tables and floors are clean and presentable and attend to guests as needed.
• Contribute to a friendly, efficient dining experience for all guests.

A job you can enjoy

As a Food & Drinks Runner (Busser) you will remove used plates, cups, cutlery and other utensils from the bar, restaurant & garden area to the kitchen for washing.

You will be responsible for wiping down tables, restock cutlery, sauces & napkins whist ensuring that the tables are ready for the next guests to use. You will also assist the serving team by bringing out food and drink ordered.

You will be an integral part of the team ensuring you keep the tables & floors clean and presentable. Whist paying close attention to the guests and informing the serving team when anyone needs something, or you can attend to the guest yourself

This excellent service keeps our guests coming back.

Our pubs are in idyllic settings in country villages and towns, where we are proud to be the quality local of the area, serving high quality fresh pub food in a cozy pub ambience. Most of our pubs have some Charming Bedrooms as well. New to our growing family is Harper’s Steakhouse, a new premium American Steakhouse brand that we started rolling out last year.
