The IKEA Food team are looking to welcome Food & Beverage assistants to join our delightful and hardworking team, where you will play a big part in our multi-skilled team.

We are looking to grow our food areas and build the IKEA Food area into a Community Hub for our local area. A place that is recognised by our customers as a place that offers exceptional service, a wide range of food to suit everyone's taste and a destination for all occasions from a cup of coffee and cake to catch up with friends or to celebrate.

Prior experience in food is desirable, but not essential if you have a roll up your sleeve mindset to the various tasks & challenges that present themselves.

What you’ll need to have

Are you a team player with a passion for food and people? Do you know your meat ball from your plant ball? If so, then we are looking for you. This is an extremely fast paced working environment and requires you to multitask, producing and serving food with regular heavy lifting. We are looking for someone like you to help us deliver a taste of Sweden and a great customer experience with high quality, sustainable food. You will contribute to a passionate and friendly team to deliver a better everyday life for the many, while embracing change with a solution‑orientated mindset.

What you’ll be doing day to day

As a Food Co‑worker, you will report to one of the Food Managers or Team Leaders and work alongside them in the various areas in the department to help create a safe, healthy, delicious, sustainable, affordable, and joyful food experience for both the customer and the co‑worker.

  • Cleaning your working area and any appliances used
  • Serving our delicious food to our customers
  • Clearing tables & ensuring all equipment is clean & ready to be re‑used
  • Helping the rest of the team with daily tasks
