Protocol Education Ltd is seeking a Food Technician to support the Technology Department in a secondary school from September 2026. The role covers Food Technology and Textiles; you will help prepare resources, equipment and ingredients for practical lessons while upholding high health and safety standards.
The position is 2–3 days per week with a September 2026 start, suited to someone with practical food technology experience who enjoys working in education and supporting teachers and students.

We are currently recruiting for a Food Technician to join a busy and supportive Technology Department within a secondary school from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical food technology experience who enjoys working in an educational environment and wants to play a key role in supporting teachers and students.
As a Food Technician, you will provide essential day-to-day operational support to the Technology Department, helping to ensure that Food Technology and Textiles lessons run smoothly, safely and efficiently.
You will work closely with teaching staff to prepare resources, equipment and ingredients for practical lessons, while ensuring high standards of health, safety and organisation are maintained.
We are looking for someone who:
Previous experience working within a school or education setting would be advantageous, but is not essential for the right candidate.
Start Date: September 2026
Working Pattern: 2–3 days per week
