An educational institution in Trafford is seeking a Food and Nutrition Technician to assist in practical lessons and ensure a supportive learning environment. This term-time position involves preparing materials and maintaining equipment. Candidates should have a GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, with experience in food or catering being desirable. Strong organization and communication skills are essential.
Band 3: SCP 6 to 11 (£25,989 to £28,142 pro rata)
(actual salary: £17,424-£18,868 for working 29 hours per week/38 weeks)
To work 29 hours per week (5 days), term time only
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 9:30am-3:30pm
Tuesday 8:00am-3:30pm (flexibility required)
Includes a 30‑minute unpaid break
We are looking to appoint a Food and Nutrition Technician to work under the direction of the Head of Food and Nutrition, providing practical assistance and support to teaching staff and students.
Successful candidates will play a key role in supporting teachers and students during practical lessons. You will prepare materials and ingredients, maintain equipment and ensure that lessons run smoothly and safely. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in an educational setting and takes pride in creating a positive learning environment.
