Job summary

National Energy System Operator Limited (NESO) is hiring an Information Rights Advisor to guide and train colleagues on FOI, EIR and DSAR requests. You will manage a caseload, advise on disclosures, monitor performance, and support the Information Rights and Data Protection Officer to improve processes.

We welcome flexible working and both full-time and part-time applicants, with hybrid working arrangements between office and home in Warwick.

Qualifications

• Understanding of EIR and FOI legislation.
• Experience managing FOI, EIR and DSAR requests.
• Strong written communication and ability to influence stakeholders.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage expectations.

Responsibilities

• Providing advice on handling information access requests in line with UK legal requirements and ICO guidance.
• Receiving and reviewing FOI, EIR and DSAR requests, engaging with requestors and internal teams.
• Managing responses, including identifying sensitive or exempt information.
• Consulting with third parties as needed and outlining disclosure obligations.
• Maintaining the FOI publication scheme and disclosure log.
• Monitoring control indicators and reporting within governance.
