Job summary

Diageo plc seeks a Quality Assurance Technician in Runcorn on a fixed-term 8-month contract. The role covers QC analysis across the small pack production line, from beer intake to finished goods, with continental day/night shifts and weekend patterns.

You will calibrate instruments, perform audits, and ensure compliance with quality standards while maintaining laboratory stocks and participating in problem solving with the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC in a science discipline.
• Strong analytical methods and data interpretation.
• Understanding of information systems, ideally SAP.
• Basic instrumentation knowledge for laboratory and inline inspection.
• Familiarity with quality systems (HACCP/ISO9001).
• Statistical process control knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Carry out QC analysis within production teams to meet benchmarks (quality, safety, hygiene, cost).
• Calibrate instrumentation and perform routine maintenance.
• Input accurate results into SAP/Harford systems.
• Conduct routine QC audits to verify compliance with plans.
