Job summary

D R Newitt & Associates is recruiting a Demand Planning Manager for a leading FMCG Food Group based in Hertfordshire. You will lead a four-person team and own statistical and customer forecast inputs, bridging Commercial and Operations.

With a transformation strategy in place, you will drive S&OP cycle ownership, forecast accuracy, and KPI reporting using Excel and Power BI. The role requires 5+ years in demand planning, strong analytical capability, and the ability to influence stakeholders

Qualifications

5+ years in Demand Planning or Forecasting (FMCG background highly preferred).
Strong technical skills with Excel; experience with Power BI, SQL, or advanced ERP/Planning systems is highly desirable.
S&OP/SIOP processes and statistical modelling experience.
Proven leadership with ability to influence stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Procurement.
Commercial acumen with an understanding of budget management and supply chain impact.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four Demand Planners.
Own the statistical and customer forecast requirements across the S&OP cycle.
Partner with Sales Directors and the Supply Planning Manager to identify risks and opportunities and ensure product availability.
Analyse historical data and trends to produce short-, medium-, and long-term projections.
Drive forecast accuracy improvements and manage KPI reporting via Excel and Power BI.
