Job summary

Medirest, part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, is seeking a dedicated Porter to support healthcare operations on a full-time basis, contracted to 40.25 hours per week. You will maintain high standards of customer care and cleanliness while supporting reception tasks and room setup.

The role requires flexibility in shift patterns (4 on 4 off) and a proactive approach to assisting across lobby areas, housekeeping, and dining services, ensuring safety and smooth operations for patients and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in keeping the lobby and other public areas clean and tidy.
• Helping housekeeping, restaurant and banqueting staff to set up rooms or move furniture.
• Handling certain reception duties, such as booking theatre tickets or making restaurant reservations.
• Responding to customer requests where required.
• Running errands.
• Ensuring the safety of customers by, for instance, placing and removing signage that indicates wet floors or paints.
