A local council in England is seeking an FM Assistant to join their facilities team at Calshot Activities Centre. Calshot Activities Centre is a unique outdoor education facility and visitor attraction in the New Forest National Park. Located on a shingle spit at the mouth of Southampton Water, the site has a long and diverse heritage, including a Tudor Castle and Grade 1 and 2 listed buildings. Calshot is perhaps most famous for hosting the 1929 Schneider Trophy flying boat race.
This is a great opportunity to join the excellent and established facilities team that manage the buildings, grounds, and equipment of Calshot Activities Centre. This team underpins the customer experience at Calshot and enables our 100,000+ visitors a year to enjoy our whole site, from the café through to the campsite.
The role encompasses both statutory and equipment checks as well as the opportunity to complete projects and take on ownership of different areas.
There are opportunities to contribute to development of innovative ways to increase productivity of the team and to share ideas about future projects.
