Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting experienced FLT Reach Driver positions in North Birmingham to support a high-volume automotive logistics operation. You will operate a Reach Truck across a busy manufacturing environment, ensuring timely line feeding and stock movement to keep production running smoothly.

Candidates should hold a valid Reach Truck licence with within the last 3 years and have at least 12 months of recent Reach Truck experience.

Qualifications

• Valid FLT Reach Truck licence, issued or refreshed within the last 3 years.
• Minimum 12 months' recent Reach Truck experience.
• Experience in automotive, manufacturing or high-volume logistics is desirable.
• Experience with line feeding production or supplying manufacturing lines is preferred.
• Confident operating a Reach Truck in a busy manufacturing environment.
• Good awareness of pedestrian and vehicle safety.
• Reliable, flexible and able to meet production deadlines.
• Able to work as part of a busy team with safety and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Reach Truck safely and efficiently in a busy automotive facility.
• Line feed production areas, delivering components on time.
• Move parts, stillages and packaging around the site.
• Work with production teams and other FLT operators.
• Support Just-In-Time (JIT) production processes.
• Collect finished materials and return empty stillages.
• Load and unload vehicles safely when required.
• Replenish stock and move materials between warehouse and production areas.
• Support goods‑in, stock movements and general warehouse operations.
• Follow strict site safety procedures and maintain housekeeping.
• Work on and off the truck as required.

Are you an experienced FLT Reach Driver looking for a long‑term opportunity within a busy automotive manufacturing operation?

We are recruiting for experienced Reach Truck Drivers to join a fast‑paced automotive logistics operation in North Birmingham. This is a hands‑on role where you will play a key part in keeping production lines supplied and ensuring manufacturing continues without interruption.

You will be operating a Reach Truck throughout a busy manufacturing environment, moving automotive components, stillages and materials between warehouse areas and production lines.

Previous experience of line feeding within a manufacturing or automotive environment is highly desirable.

Candidates who also hold Counterbalance, Bendi/Flexi or other FLT licences will have an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating an FLT Reach Truck safely and efficiently throughout a busy automotive manufacturing facility.
• Line feeding production areas, ensuring components and materials are delivered to production on time.
• Moving automotive parts, stillages, pallets and returnable packaging around the site.
• Working within a busy, high‑volume manufacturing environment alongside production teams, pedestrians and other FLT operators.
• Supporting Just‑In‑Time (JIT) production processes and ensuring production lines remain fully supplied.
• Collecting finished materials and returning empty stillages and packaging to designated areas.
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently when required.
• Replenishing stock and carrying out material movements between warehouse and production areas.
• Supporting goods‑in, stock movements and general warehouse operations.
• Following strict site safety procedures and maintaining a high standard of housekeeping.
• Working both on and off the truck when required.

What We're Looking For

• Valid FLT Reach Truck licence, issued or refreshed within the last 3 years.
• Minimum 12 months' recent Reach Truck experience.
• Previous experience in automotive, manufacturing or high‑volume logistics is highly desirable.
• Experience of line feeding production or supplying manufacturing lines is strongly preferred.
• Confident operating a Reach Truck within a busy manufacturing environment.
• Good awareness of pedestrian and vehicle safety.
• Reliable, flexible and comfortable working to production deadlines.
• Able to work as part of a busy team while maintaining high safety and productivity standards.
