Job summary

BSW Group is hiring an FLT Driver at the Upwood site to move materials and products, load/unload vehicles and ensure timely production. You will perform pre-shift checks, report faults and maintain health and safety standards throughout the shift.

Successful candidates will hold a current counterbalance FLT licence, demonstrate attention to detail, and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to keep operations smooth and compliant.

Qualifications

• Current counterbalance FLT licence (site-specific acceptable).
• Proven experience operating forklifts to move materials and products.
• Carry out daily pre-operating checks and report faults.
• Ensure pallets and packaging are available to maximise production.
• Represent the company professionally with internal and external stakeholders.

Job description

Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 with a 1 hour unpaid break per day

Your role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an FLT Driver to join our Manufacturing team at our Upwood site.

This role will be responsible for operating industrial forklifts trucks to move both raw materials and finish products around the

site, including the loading and unloading of vehicles and kilns (if required). You will operate your forklift truck in accordance

with Standard Operating Procedures.

You will be responsible for completing daily pre-operating checks before using your truck, recording and reporting all faults on a

Defect Report and ensure timber, pallets and packaging are available as required to maximise production and ensure quality and

customer standards are met.

You will play a key role in representing the company professionally when dealing with all internal and external stakeholders and

treat all fellow colleagues with respect and behave in a way that allows all staff to complete their work without disruption.

As an experienced FLT Driver you will hold a current counterbalance FLT licence or site-specific counterbalance licence,

demonstrate high level of Health and Safety awareness whilst having great attention to detail. A can-do attitude and excellent

communication skills are key to success.
