Job summary

Nexus People are recruiting for FLT Drivers in Huddersfield to work with our client, the UK’s leading TV and monitor recycling facility. You will operate an FLT, break down TVs and monitors, sort materials and use handheld tools, with safety as a priority.

The role requires 6 months of prior experience and a valid, in-date FLT licence. You must be a UK resident and able to travel to the site. Weekly pay and training opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of FLT driving experience.
• Valid, in-date FLT licence required.
• UK resident with ability to travel to site.
• Experience using hand tools and drills is preferred.
• Must be comfortable with heavy lifting and outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Operate an FLT.
• Break down TVs and monitors (heavy lifting).
• Sort useful materials and components.
• Use handheld tools such as drills, screwdrivers, hammers.
• Clean the yard and maintain a safe workspace.
• This role may require other duties and learning new skills.

FLT Driver – the role & responsibilities:

• Operating an FLT
• Breaking down TVs and monitors
  • Heavy lifting required

This role may require other duties, so it would be beneficial if you were flexible and willing to learn new skills.

About you:

You must have previous experience working in an environment where you are required to use hand tools. The main tool will be the drill, and before you can start work, you will be asked to undertake a “bench trial”during which you will be tested on your dexterity and ability to use a drill.

You will have a valid and in date FLT Licence and be willing to carry out a variety of tasks during your working day.

You must be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
