Overview

Following the continued successful growth of our clients Transport & Infrastructure business, they are recruiting a Flood Risk Consultant to join the infrastructure team in Bristol. This is a unique opportunity to work for an exciting team who provide exceptional service and create sustainable and successful developments with a wide-ranging portfolio of clients in all sectors across the UK. Our clients are seeking a talented individual that can deliver a high-quality service, has ability to think outside the box and who enjoys a collaborative approach to developing pragmatic and innovative design solutions to the various technical and environmental challenges land development can present.

You will be working closely with the local and other regional teams producing and advising on flood risk and drainage strategies to accompany planning applications in all major sectors, particularly for residential, energy, retail, industrial and commercial developments.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with local and regional teams to produce and advise on flood risk and drainage strategies to accompany planning applications across all major sectors (residential, energy, retail, industrial and commercial developments).
Requirements
  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science or similar subject plus minimum 1-3 years relevant post-graduate experience.
  • Experience and a specific interest in flood risk and sustainable drainage strategy for private sector developments, energy and regeneration projects.
  • Consultancy background.
  • Knowledge of SuDS standards, NPPF guidance and other relevant best practice.
  • Numerate and software literate. Knowledge of GIS and AutoCAD would be desirable.
  • Knowledge of the UK planning process for new developments, energy and regeneration projects.
  • Personable and a strong team player.
  • Effective organisational and communication skills with a collaborative approach and enjoys responsibility.
  • Full driving licence and access to a car.
