Job summary

ClearSpace, a UK-based space robotics company, is seeking a Flight Software Engineer to strengthen the interface between the Flight Software and the GNC teams. You will contribute across the software lifecycle for in‑orbit servicing missions.

Responsibilities include developing, integrating and validating GNC software, performing design trades, maintaining test benches, and ensuring quality through reviews, static analysis and CI practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Around 3–5 years of professional experience.
• Proven experience in standard-driven embedded software development.
• Familiar with software engineering best practices, including version control, testing, and continuous integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and validate GNC software within spacecraft Flight Software.
• Lead or contribute to design trade-off analyses involving Flight Software aspects.
• Define and execute software verification activities, including code reviews and testing.
• Support GNC test campaigns and verification activities on representative test benches.
