Qualifications

• Apprenticeship in printing and finishing.
• Hands-on training with flexographic printing.
• Learn setup, colour management, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Learning how to make a printing press ready to run, mounting plates and mixing inks.
• Preparing tooling for each job and locating printing plates and dies.
• Putting tooling into the machine and setting it up for printing.
• Assisting the printer to print each job and taking over when ready.
• Assisting the press room manager to maintain job specification details.
• Fault-finding and assisting in trial work.
• Maintaining a clean and efficient work area.
