Job summary

Driver Hire are currently recruiting 3.5 Tonne Van Drivers to work with a number of established clients based in and around Chesterfield.

With multiple clients and different types of work available, this is a great opportunity for drivers looking for flexible work, regular shifts or full-time employment. Local and regional deliveries, multi-drop deliveries and loading/unloading, plus daily vehicle checks and handheld devices, form the core of the role.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category B driving licence.
• Van driving experience preferred but not essential.
• Multi-drop experience advantageous.
• Maximum 6 points preferred, subject to client requirements.
• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable with manual handling where required.

Responsibilities

• Drive 3.5 tonne vans safely and efficiently.
• Local and regional deliveries.
• Multi-drop deliveries and collections.
• Load and unload vehicles.
• Complete delivery paperwork and use handheld devices.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks.
• Follow health and safety procedures.
• Work to delivery schedules.
