Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant for flexible treatment room sessions across primary care services in Wallsgreen Road. This role supports nursing and clinical teams with routine clinical tasks in GP clinics, ensuring smooth patient flow and high-quality clinical care.

Key responsibilities include routine observations (BP, pulse, temp), wound care, ECGs, phlebotomy if trained, updating patient records, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Previous HCA experience in primary care or NHS clinical settings.
• Confident performing routine clinical observations.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different clinic environments.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine clinical observations including BP, pulse and temperature.
• Supporting treatment room procedures such as wound care and dressings.
• Performing ECGs and basic health checks.
• Assisting with phlebotomy if trained.
• Updating digital patient records in line with service protocols.
• Supporting clinicians with general duties where needed.
• Maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment.
