Flexible Support Officer

Location: North Oxfordshire
Salary: £25,526.00 - £30,900.00 per annum
Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time - 35 hours per week – Monday to Friday
DBS Level: Enhanced
Full UK driving licence and use of car Monday to Friday

As a Flexible Support Officer within our Domestic Abuse Service, you’ll play a vital role in supporting clients across refuge, outreach, and helpline services—helping them move forward with safety, independence, and dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver tailored support to clients in accommodation and outreach settings
  • Manage referrals and conduct needs assessments
  • Provide guidance on tenancy rights and responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies including police and health professionals
  • Facilitate group work and respond to helpline enquiries
  • Advocate for clients and support move‑on to safe housing
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding processes
More about you
  • GCSEs (or equivalent)
  • At least a year experience in front line work with victims domestic abuse or vulnerable clients.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Basic IT skills and willingness to learn new systems
  • A compassionate, proactive, and collaborative approach
  • Driving and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
