Job summary

Oasis Hub Oldham is seeking a Strategic Community Development Lead to guide the charity through its next growth phase, combining entrepreneurial flair with strong leadership to build a vibrant local movement and deliver impact across Hollinwood and Leesbrook.

The role requires strategic oversight of youth and community work, partnerships with schools and volunteers, and a track record of securing resources while maintaining a commitment to inclusive, ethical practice.

Qualifications

  • A strategic mindset and experience of leading community delivery and growing projects.
  • Innovative use of resources and budget management to maximise funding, with a track record of securing income.
  • A thorough knowledge and understanding of community work.
  • An education to degree level or equivalent and/or relevant professional qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Establishment and coordination of a range of provision such as family support, youth work, holiday clubs, volunteering and community empowerment projects.
  • Maintaining and building supportive working partnerships across the community and various groups.
  • Leading policy and process oversight.
  • Planning, resourcing and coordinating the community plan, measuring impact.
  • Strengthening the local Oasis Movement.
