Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1yr experience working with children with complex health needs.
  • Minimum of 1yr working with children in other settings, e.g. nursery, respite service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, effective care to children in their homes and the community.
  • Recognise safeguarding concerns and follow appropriate procedures.
  • Maintain competencies in specific clinical skills and familiarity with emergency procedures.
  • Support children’s development in partnership with families and teams.

Skills

Understanding of care impact

Experience with children with complex needs
British Sign Language level 1
Makaton

Education

NVQ 3 in health or social care
GCSE in Maths and English
