KPI Recruiting Ltd is recruiting experienced Kitchen Assistants for care home settings across Lincoln and surrounding areas. Join a busy catering team to support meal preparation and service, ensuring residents receive high standards of food and care. Flexible shifts and ongoing assignments with quick starts are available.

Weekly pay is provided. Ideal candidates will have an Enhanced DBS, experience in care home or catering environments, good food hygiene knowledge, and strong teamwork skills

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS clearance required.
• Experience as Kitchen Assistant or related roles.
• Care home or healthcare catering experience desirable.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety.
• Awareness of allergies and dietary requirements.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Reliable and flexible with shifts.
• Ability to work in a busy kitchen environment.
• Follow instructions and adapt to teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with basic food preparation and meal service.
• Prepare ingredients, snacks, drinks and simple items.
• Serve meals to residents in a friendly and professional manner.
• Set up and clear dining and kitchen areas.
• Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic kitchen environment.
• Follow food hygiene and food safety procedures at all times.
• Store food, ingredients and cleaning products safely and correctly.
• Support the kitchen team during busy meal services.
• Follow residents' dietary requirements, allergies and texture-modified meals.
• Follow company Health & Safety policies.
• Adapt confidently to different kitchen teams and environments.
