Job summary

Benenden Hospital is seeking an experienced Sonographer to join the Flexi-Bank team. You will provide high-quality ultrasonography imaging and patient care, while supporting the department's day-to-day operations and promoting safety and excellence in service delivery.

The role requires substantial ultrasound experience, strong reporting, and a proactive approach to CPD and mentorship of junior colleagues. Flexible shifts, on-site parking and a supportive multidisciplinary environment are

Qualifications

• Holds ultrasound qualification and professional registration where applicable.
• Substantial experience working as a Sonographer in a clinical setting.
• Excellent scanning, reporting and clinical decision-making skills.
• Committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to mentor colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standards of ultrasonography imaging and patient care, adhering to hospital policies and guidelines.
• Oversee safe, day-to-day running of the ultrasound service within the department.
• Produce high-quality sonographic images and reports; escalate abnormal findings promptly.
• Act as a clinical expert and resource for sonography within the department.
• Support and mentor junior team members, including RDAs and administration staff, and assist with training.
• Contribute to service development, audits and quality improvement activities.
