Job summary

Locums First is seeking Locum Healthcare Assistants to work across community clinics and GP surgeries in Alford, offering fully flexible sessional shifts that fit your weekly availability, experience level and preferred working pattern.

In this role you will support patient assessments, carry out routine clinical procedures, perform phlebotomy where trained, help maintain efficient clinic workflow and update notes in service systems, providing essential care across NHS-style primary care

Qualifications

• Experience working as an HCA in primary care, community or NHS settings.
• Phlebotomy skills beneficial.
• Confident in carrying out standardised clinical tasks.
• Strong communication and time-management abilities.
• Comfortable adapting to new clinical environments.
• Enhanced DBS

Responsibilities

• Conducting basic patient observations including BP, pulse and temperature
• Supporting routine treatment room procedures
• Carrying out ECGs and basic health checks
• Performing phlebotomy if trained
• Assisting with patient education and lifestyle advice
• Updating clinical notes accurately in service systems
• Providing general clinical support to nurses and GPs
