Job summary

Kids in Bracknell is seeking enthusiastic, caring and adaptable Sessional Playworkers to support disabled children and young people in a range of inclusive recreational activities at The Courthouse, Broadway, Bracknell.

You'll help children enjoy creative and imaginative play, adapt activities to meet individual needs, encourage independence, and accompany outings in the local community, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children and young people in inclusive recreational activities.
• Ability to adapt activities to meet individual needs and preferences.
• Commitment to safeguarding and health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people to take part in creative, imaginative and adventurous play.
• Adapt activities to meet individual needs and preferences.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive social interaction.
• Accompany and supervise children and young people on community outings.
• Provide a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment.
• Provide personal care sensitively and respectfully where required.
• Support with snacks and meals when needed.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety procedures.
• Work closely with colleagues, families, carers and other professionals.
