Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is seeking an SEN Classroom Support Assistant to work in Peterlee. The role is part-time with supply opportunities, offering flexible days and short-term placements across specialist schools.

You will support pupils with additional learning needs, collaborate with teachers, and help create an inclusive learning environment. DBS checks and safeguarding responsibilities are required.

Qualifications

• Have previous experience supporting children or vulnerable adults.
• Are enthusiastic about SEND education.
• Have strong interpersonal skills.
• Are flexible and adaptable.
• Hold a DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with complex and additional learning needs.
• Working alongside teachers to deliver engaging lessons.
• Providing 1:1 and small group support.
• Assisting with personal and emotional development.
• Encouraging participation and independence.
