Job summary

Smart Education are seeking Primary Teachers for opportunities across Lichfield, offering daily rates from £140 to £253 and both full-time, part-time, and flexible positions. You could work day-to-day or take on longer-term assignments within EYFS, KS1, or KS2, with options to gain experience in different schools and year groups.

Ideal candidates will have QTS, at least 6 months of UK classroom experience, and a strong grasp of the Primary National Curriculum, with safeguarding and pupil welfare

Qualifications

• QTS is required.
• Minimum of 6 months UK classroom teaching experience.
• Solid knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
• Experience within EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2.
• References covering your most recent 24 months.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Taking responsibility for a class within EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
• Delivering creative and engaging lessons across the curriculum.
• Picking up existing planning and ensuring continuity of learning.
• Planning sequences of lessons during longer-term assignments.
• Adjusting activities so that all pupils can access and enjoy their learning.
• Providing appropriate challenge and support for different abilities.
• Creating clear expectations and positive classroom routines.
• Assessing learning and identifying next steps.
• Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants to maximise classroom support.
