Job summary

Smile Education is actively seeking passionate Supply Teachers to support a range of primary schools across the UK. This role offers day-to-day supply, short-term placements or longer assignments with flexibility to fit your schedule.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have experience teaching within a primary school setting.
• Be confident delivering lessons across a range of year groups and subjects.
• Possess strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Be able to quickly establish positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and confidence in new environments.
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Champion inclusive learning and ensure all pupils feel supported and valued.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and personal development.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of primary year groups.
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where pupils can thrive.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Ensuring pupils remain focused, motivated, and engaged in their learning.
• Adapting teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those with SEND and EAL requirements.
• Assessing and monitoring pupil participation and progress during lessons.
• Providing clear feedback to school staff on pupil engagement and learning outcomes.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and school leaders.
• Upholding safeguarding procedures and promoting the welfare of all children.
• Representing the school professionally and contributing positively to the wider school community.
• Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability when working in different educational settings.
