Job summary

Reed is seeking enthusiastic Primary Cover Teachers to work across a range of welcoming primary schools in the UK. This role offers flexibility, with full-time, part-time or flexible supply options and immediate or Sept 2026 starts. Qualified teachers will deliver engaging lessons across Early Years, KS1 and KS2, maintaining positive learning environments.

Experienced teachers or ECTs are encouraged to apply, with ongoing consultant support and opportunities for long-term placements.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent is required.
• Experience teaching in UK primary schools.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Flexible and proactive approach.
• DBS Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and year groups.
• Ensure pupils remain motivated and on task throughout the day.
• Complete basic marking and handover notes where required.
