Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced Tutor to support a student with PDA for 15 hours per week after 12:30pm across Mon, Wed, Thu and Fri. You will tailor activities to the pupil's pace and interests in a calm, flexible setting.

You will build trust, track progress and work with parents and other professionals as needed to promote confidence, independence and a positive experience of education.

Qualifications

• Experience with PDA, autism, ADHD, anxiety, or other needs.
• Flexible, patient and non-judgemental approach.
• Tutoring or SEN support experience.
• Reliable and consistent with excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one tutoring and educational support.
• Adapt lessons to individual needs and interests.
• Build trust and positive relationship with student.
• Monitor and communicate progress with parents/carers.
• Create a calm, safe, positive learning environment.
• Work with parents and professionals where appropriate.
