Job summary

Gi Group is hiring Meter Readers to collect gas, electricity, and water meter data for both commercial and residential properties. You will use handheld devices to update reads and provide excellent customer service, with full training provided.

This role offers 40–45 hours per week, Monday–Friday with some Saturdays, and pay £13.23–£13.97 per hour. Annual earnings range from £29,000 to £35,000 with a bonus scheme up to £2,000 monthly, plus pension and company car.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles is a plus but not required.
• Ability to drive and navigate local areas confidently.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve data from domestic, commercial, and industrial meters (Water, Gas, Electricity).
• Perform visual inspections of metering equipment.
• Conduct Charge Point Surveys.
• Drive and work independently with a professional approach.
• Maintain health and safety standards at all times.
