Job summary

Optegra Eye Healthcare in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced optometrist to join our multidisciplinary team at the Nottingham Clinic. The role covers pre- and post-operative consultations, refractive surgery assessments, and monitoring patients through acute and follow-up clinics with full EMR documentation.

You will provide patient health guidance, follow referral pathways when necessary, and ensure compliance with CQC policies and clinical competency frameworks while maintaining high

Qualifications

• Current GOC registration as a fully qualified optometrist.
• Extensive experience working as an optometrist in refractive, high street or hospital environments.
• Experience using patient administration and electronic medical record systems.
• Experience working to conversion targets and KPIs within Vision Correction.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre and post-operative consultations and assess patient suitability for treatment.
• Conduct examinations related to refractive surgery, cataract and medical retina procedures.
• Run acute and follow-up clinics post-surgery and document findings in EMR.
• Provide health advice and first-line clinical guidance and refer when needed.
• Ensure awareness of equipment handling, safety and CQC policies; participate in updates.
