Job summary

Locums First is recruiting Locum Practice Nurses for flexible sessional work in Skelmorlie and surrounding primary care settings. You will join multiple teams, performing treatment room duties, chronic disease reviews and health checks, with clear protocols and supported workflows.

The role covers wound care, immunisations (if trained), smear tests (cytology-trained), and general nursing tasks across varied clinics.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation training beneficial.
• Cytology training beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Deliver treatment room clinics including wound care and dressings.
• Support chronic disease management within established care plans.
• Carry out immunisations for adults and children (if trained).
• Undertake smear tests where cytology-trained.
• Perform NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Record accurate clinical notes for each service.
• Assist with general nursing duties as required.
