Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking qualified Practice Nurses to cover flexible sessions in Hythe. You will join multiple primary care teams, delivering wound care, immunisations, and routine nursing tasks within supported clinics.

The role requires NMC registration and experience in primary care; enhanced DBS is expected. Immunisation and cytology training are beneficial, with ad-hoc or ongoing bookings based on availability.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation and cytology training beneficial.
• Confident with routine nursing tasks and treatment room clinics.
• Familiarity with common primary care systems.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Deliver treatment room clinics with wound care/dressings
• Support chronic disease management within care plans
• Carry out immunisations for adults and children (if trained)
• Undertake smear tests where cytology-trained
• Perform NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments
• Record accurate clinical notes for each service
• Assist with general nursing duties as required
