Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for flexible sessional work across primary care settings in Knottingley. The role offers autonomous minor illness assessments and routine primary care duties within well-supported GP clinics.

You will support local primary care teams by managing acute presentations and routine assessments while contributing to day-to-day clinical operations. Flexible sessions and ad-hoc or ongoing bookings are available.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant experience.
• Independent Prescribing qualification desirable.
• Strong minor illness and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different practice environments.
• Familiarity with EMIS Web or SystmOne.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Running autonomous NP-led clinics within primary care settings.
• Managing minor illness and undifferentiated presentations.
• Conducting face-to-face and telephone triage.
• Prescribing safely within scope of practice (if qualified).
• Completing clinical follow-up actions including results and medication queries.
• Maintaining accurate digital clinical documentation.
