Job summary

Flexzo Ai is seeking experienced General Practitioners to provide ad-hoc locum cover at St Luke's Primary Care Centre in Northampton. Regular sessions are available throughout the year, with flexible start and finish times to support a healthy work‑life balance and a steady stream of work.

Applicants must hold Full GMC Registration with Licence to Practice, be on the NHS GP Register, and have the right to work in the UK. Previous NHS GP experience and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Full GMC Registration with Licence to Practise is required.
• Inclusion on the NHS GP Register is essential.
• Right to work in the UK must be held.
• Previous NHS General Practice experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and clinical decision‑making skills are required.
• Ability to work independently within a busy primary care setting.
• Experience with primary care systems or locum work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality GP consultations to registered patients.
• Assess, diagnose and manage a broad range of acute and chronic conditions.
• Develop personalised treatment and management plans.
• Prescribe safely and in line with current clinical guidelines.
• Make appropriate referrals to secondary and community services.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records.
• Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary practice team.
• Deliver safe, patient‑centred care in line with GMC standards.
