Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a GMC-registered General Practitioner to work with a GP practice in Falkirk. The role offers flexible ad-hoc or regular sessions with full-day or half-day availability and supportive administration to ensure smooth clinical work.

You will manage varied caseloads, conduct patient assessments, provide continuity where needed, and prioritise safe prescribing. NHS Performers List inclusion and indemnity are required, with familiarity of EMIS/SystmOne beneficial.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered General Practitioner.
• Active inclusion on the NHS Performers List.
• Recent UK primary care experience.
• Familiarity with EMIS or SystmOne.

Responsibilities

• Running routine and urgent GP clinics.
• Managing acute presentations and complex cases.
• Providing telephone consultations and triage as part of daily workflow.
• Reviewing investigations, results and medication queries.
• Prescribing safely and appropriately.
• Documenting consultations clearly using the clinical system.
• Supporting the practice with clinical actions and follow-up tasks.
