Job summary

Locum Ready in Okehampton seeks GMC-registered GPs for flexible sessional work across primary care settings. You will deliver urgent access appointments, routine reviews, telephone triage and clinical decision-making within supportive teams across local GP practices.

This role offers fully flexible shifts including weekdays, evenings and weekends with options for regular ongoing work or ad-hoc cover, and requires indemnity and Enhanced DBS.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered GP eligible to work in the UK.
• Inclusion on NHS Performers List is required.
• Experience in GP, urgent care or community primary care settings.
• Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage urgent and routine GP clinics across primary care settings.
• Conduct telephone consultations and triage.
• Assess acute, chronic and undifferentiated presentations.
• Prescribe within scope and handle medication queries.
• Record accurate clinical notes in service systems.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams.
