Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced General Practice Nurse for flexible regional clinic sessions across Llanwrtyd Wells. This role offers structured treatment room and clinical review work within well-supported GP environments, providing autonomy and consistency in routine primary care nursing activity.

You will support local clinical teams with essential nursing duties, chronic disease activity and day-to-day treatment room procedures.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Strong treatment room competency.
• Confident working independently within GP settings.
• Familiarity with EMIS Web or SystmOne.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Deliver treatment room procedures including wound care and dressings.
• Support chronic disease reviews in line with local care plans.
• Administer adult and childhood immunisations (if trained).
• Perform smear tests where cytology-trained.
• Conduct NHS Health Checks and routine assessments.
• Maintain accurate digital clinical notes.
• Support general nursing duties as required by the clinic.
