Job summary

Seven Resourcing in Birmingham is seeking a Locum Early Help Family Support Worker to provide direct support to children, young people and families. You will work flexibly to help them overcome challenges, strengthen relationships and thrive, under the supervision of a supportive team.

Key duties include delivering one-to-one and group sessions, liaising with schools and social workers, carrying out assessments and keeping accurate case notes while upholding safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in family support, social care, or youth work.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one and group-based family support.
• Support families to develop coping skills and build resilience.
• Help families access community services and local resources.
• Carry out assessments and contribute to early help plans.
• Liaise with schools, social workers, and other partners.
• Keep accurate case notes and monitor family progress.
• Uphold strong safeguarding standards.
