Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to work for a GP practice in Bargoed, Wales. This autonomous clinician role offers flexible sessional work within a well-organised primary care environment, with full support from an established multidisciplinary team.

You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence-based care, and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

• Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (Level 7)
• V300 Independent Prescribing
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or walk-in settings
• Enhanced DBS
• Ability to work autonomously and safely
• Familiarity with EMIS / SystmOne / Vision

Responsibilities

• Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics
• Completing long-term condition reviews where required
• Telephone triage and clinical decision-making
• Independent prescribing and medication reviews
• Ordering and interpreting investigations
• Clear, accurate clinical documentation
• Working collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs
