Job summary

Public Sector charity is seeking an interim AP Officer to join a finance team for a 6-month period. You will manage end-to-end accounts payable, process supplier invoices and oversee payment runs, bringing VAT experience to support compliance. The role requires someone who can hit the ground running in a busy finance team.

Flexible working with 1–2 days a week in the central London office is available, offering a practical hybrid arrangement for experienced finance professionals.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or finance operations role.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience of assisting with VAT is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end accounts payable process management including invoices and payments.
• Maintain the purchase ledger ensuring all transactions are up to date.
• Prepare payment runs (BACS and other methods) for approval by the interim financial controller before processing.
