Job summary

The Chauncy School in Ware is seeking Exams Invigilators to support the May–June exam season, with additional sessions throughout the year. No prior experience is required as full training will be provided, and you should be patient, calm under pressure and enjoy working as part of a team.

Hours are variable (casual worker), with exams and sessions throughout the year, including early start times and some afternoons. This role offers flexible, on-site work in a school environment.

Qualifications

• Education: basic general level of education.
• Training provided for all successful candidates.
• Patient, calm under pressure and a team player.

Responsibilities

• To conduct examinations in accordance with JCQ instructions, with training provided.
• Maintain the security of exam materials at all times.
• Set up exam rooms to standard and check that candidates have not brought prohibited items.
• Distribute exam papers and materials to candidates.
• Supervise candidates and be vigilant during exams and record irregularities.
• Complete attendance registers and collect/return exam materials after exams.
• Attend training and undertake other duties as required by the exams officer.
