Locums First is seeking GMC-registered General Practitioners for flexible locum sessions in Shipley. Join a range of primary care services offering autonomy, variety and consistent weekly availability.

You will deliver urgent access appointments, routine reviews and telephone triage, with clear workflows and supportive clinical teams to ensure safe and efficient care across multiple settings. Indemnity and DBS verification required.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered GP required.
• NHS Performers List inclusion required.
• Experience in GP, urgent care or community primary care settings.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments.
• Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills.
• Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Managing urgent and routine GP clinics across primary care settings.
• Conducting telephone consultations and triage.
• Assessing acute, chronic and undifferentiated presentations.
• Prescribing within scope and handling medication queries.
• Reviewing results, referrals and follow-up actions.
• Recording accurate clinical notes in service-specific systems.
• Working collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams.
