Job summary

Locums First is looking for Locum General Practitioners in Fort Augustus. This role offers access to a variety of community-focused and GP-based clinical sessions, giving you the flexibility to choose work that aligns with your experience, preferred pace and weekly schedule.

You will support a range of primary care services by managing autonomous GP clinics, handling urgent care demand, providing routine appointments and completing essential clinical follow-up work.

Qualifications

• Must be GMC-registered as a General Practitioner.
• NHS Performers List registration.
• Experience in primary care or community health.
• Strong diagnostic reasoning and patient communication.
• Able to work confidently across varied services.
• Valid medical indemnity and Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Run independent GP clinics across community and primary care settings.
• Manage acute, routine and complex presentations.
• Conduct telephone triage to support urgent access demand.
• Prescribe safely within clinical guidelines.
• Complete results, medication reviews and referral actions.
• Maintain detailed and compliant clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with local clinical teams.
