Job summary

Locums First is seeking Locum General Practitioners to cover GP clinics in Barnoldswick. This role offers access to community-focused and GP-based clinical sessions, with flexible scheduling to suit your experience, preferred pace and weekly availability.

You will support primary care services by managing autonomous GP clinics, triaging urgent care, and providing routine appointments, with clear guidance and a well-managed clinical environment.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered General Practitioner.
• NHS Performers List registration.
• Primary care or community health experience.
• Strong diagnostic reasoning and patient communication.
• Ability to work confidently in varied services.
• Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Run independent GP clinics across community and primary care.
• Manage acute, routine and complex presentations.
• Conduct telephone triage to support urgent access.
• Prescribe safely within clinical guidelines.
• Complete results, medication reviews and referrals.
• Maintain detailed and compliant clinical documentation.
• Collaborate effectively with local clinical teams.
