Job summary

Lancashire County Council is seeking a Children's Social Worker to manage a caseload focused on Child in Need and Child Protection, and to work within the Public Law Outline. You will complete assessments, planning and direct work with families within a multidisciplinary team, delivering reflective practice to support safe outcomes.

Qualifications

• ASYE induction via the Social Work Academy.
• Ongoing training in Family Safeguarding and Motivational Interviewing.
• Regular supervision, reflection, and peer support.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload including Child in Need and Child Protection work.
• Manage cases within the Public Law Outline.
• Complete assessments, planning, and direct work with families.
• Work within a supportive multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver high-quality, reflective practice.
• Help keep families together safely wherever possible.
