Job summary

E-ACT The Oldham Academy North is seeking committed Exam Invigilators to support examinations throughout the academic year. You will help ensure fair, secure exams in line with regulations, contributing to a calm atmosphere for students and staff.

Full training will be provided; previous school experience is welcome but not essential. This is a flexible, zero-hour role suitable for reliable individuals with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Good standard of literacy and numeracy; able to follow written instructions and exam procedures accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and maintain accuracy under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students and staff.
• Ability to remain calm, vigilant and impartial while supervising examinations.
• Reliable, trustworthy and able to uphold examination regulations and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms, materials and equipment per examination board regulations.
• Supervise candidates during examinations to maintain a calm, fair and secure environment.
• Check candidate identity and distribute/collect examination papers and materials accurately.
• Ensure all examination procedures and regulations are followed; report irregularities or breaches.
• Assist with the start and finish of examinations and safe handling of completed scripts.
