BARNWOOD PARK SCHOOL in Gloucester is seeking reliable Exam Invigilators to support students during examination periods. The role is flexible and occasional, with training provided, and you will join a supportive school team contributing to students during an important stage of their education.

Join a friendly team and gain experience in a school setting. No invigilator experience is required, making it ideal for volunteers or those seeking flexible, local work that fits around other commitments.

Mansioni

• Supervise individuals and/or groups of students undertaking school examinations in accordance with legal and school requirements.
• Assist the Exams and Data Manager in the smooth and efficient administration, setting up and running of examinations.
• Enforce school and exam board procedures and regulations, including familiarity with Instructions for the Conduct of Examinations.
• Support candidates on a 1-1 basis (e.g. scribing).
• Direct candidates to seats and advise on possessions permitted in venues.
• Ensure candidates do not talk inside venues.
• Invigilate during examinations and handle queries/irregularities per procedure.
• Check attendance during examinations.
• Record late arrivals and early leavers; collect scripts from early leavers.
• Escort candidates from venues when required and supervise outside venues.
• Address minor behaviour issues per school policy and report breaches to Examinations/Data Manager.
• Assist with packing and delivery of examination papers and scripts.
• Ensure orderly and quiet departure of candidates; prevent removal of equipment/stationery without authorisation.
• Attend additional invigilating training meetings as required.
