Job summary

Bethany School in the United Kingdom invites enthusiastic individuals to join our examinations team as Exam Invigilators, Readers and Scribes. This flexible, term-time role supports pupils by ensuring exams run smoothly and fairly, including providing approved access arrangements when required.

You will invigilate examinations, help with room setup, support candidates with access arrangements, and read or scribe dictated responses as needed.

Qualifications

Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Strong IT skills with word processing software.
Clear and legible handwriting.
Reliable, flexible and calm under pressure.
Enjoys working with young people and supporting their success.

Responsibilities

Invigilating internal and external examinations in accordance with examination regulations.
Assisting with examination room preparation and set‑up.
Supporting candidates through approved access arrangements.
Reading examination papers and questions accurately when acting as a reader.
Recording candidates’ dictated responses accurately when acting as a scribe.
Supervising pupils during rest breaks and ensuring examination conditions are maintained.
Providing a calm, professional and positive environment for pupil.
