Job summary

Bristol Waste Company is hiring a Cleaning Operative to perform cleaning duties across multiple sites in Bristol. Various locations and hours are available; role includes early morning shifts at sites such as Lewins Mead, Wick Road Library, BMAG, Oasis Academy and more.

The position emphasizes maintaining high cleaning standards, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and good English communication.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Physically fit for walking, bending, etc.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Good spoken English language.

Responsibilities

• Floors: Vacuum and mop all flooring to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Surfaces: Dust and wipe surfaces, windowsills, handrails, door handles and staircases.
• Washrooms: Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, taps, fixtures and tiled areas.
• Kitchen areas: Clean shared kitchens, wipe countertops and clean sinks.
• Lift areas: Clean lifts, mirrors, walls, floors and touchpoints.
• Empty bins: Dispose waste, recycle and replace liners.
